Mike Dodge...what can I say about this amazing fellow? I would have to say he is one of the coolest nuggets I have ever seen on the web and he is most definetly my inspiration. All I have ever dreamed about for the last couple of years is living a very alternative lifestyle. Mike Dodge is the epitome of an alternative and healthy lifestyle. This fellow who is an ex-marine mostly runs around barefoot and hunts for his own food. Oh I forgot to mention that he also lives in the Hoh Rainforest and has his own T.V. show called Meet Mike Dodge on the National Geographic Channel. Here are some pictures of him below:

Just heard on KNX 1070 AM radio news that a protest is planned to close the border crossings on June 28th.
Can't find a damn thing about it on the internet, not even on the website of KNX 1070 http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/
IF this happens, holy shit... it'll be the first shut down of the border I've ever heard of, and San Diego - TiJuana is the most heavily trafficked border crossing on the planet, if they succeed in shutting that down by a protest blockade, say with semi trucks loaded with bulldozers, front end loaders, and cranes, or cranes and K rails... it'll ring the wake up alarm clock in Washington DC and Mexico City.
If they accomplish a full Gulf of Mexico to Pacific Ocean shut down? Truckers, workers, and tourists will be backed up for a dozen miles at every crossing. Hell, any San Diegan can tell you that you'll have a 10 mile parking lot on either side of the border because a car crash causes looky Lou's, and that can last all morning, 5 days a week. A typical crossing from TJ to SD can take at best an hour, when there is nothing wrong at all. But a protest blockade? Woof. I gotta see this!

According to a recently published report, the report states A Baltimore City police officer is charged with felony animal cruelty for cutting the throat of a dog, police officials announced Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called Saturday morning to Grundy Street in southeast Baltimore for a report of a stray dog that had nipped someone trying to rescue it.
The dog actually was just loose. It was a 7-year-old shar-pei named Nala whose owner had posted pictures of it on a community Facebook page.
"She was just the sweetest dog and would never hurt anyone. She was just scared that day and through all of those events -- scared and lost, thirsty, hungry -- yes I'm very sure that she bit someone, but the actions after that were not OK," the dog's owner, Sarah Gossard, told 11 News.
Police secured the dog using a dog pole but then an officer assigned to the emergency services division, later identified as Officer Jeffrey Bolger, went much further.
"Unfortunately, at some point after the dog was contained, one of our officers used a knife and cut the dog's throat. This is outrageous and unacceptable breach of our protocol," Baltimore police Deputy Commissioner Dean Palmere said.

Psychology is finally shedding light on the mystery that encapsulates so many hearts and minds around the world in an effort to understand what truly makes two people compatible for a relationship.
The Issue With Compatibility
Dating sites like OkCupid.com or chemistry.com boast about their in-depth personality tests and about how finding someone with similar answers to the questions you answer on the test, can result in finding the perfect mate.
Now this sounds very appealing for many different reasons. First, naturally you want to be with someone who shares the same values as you and perhaps even someone who enjoys similar activities like rock climbing. Secondly, it only seems logical to search for another person that also wants to raise children and begin a family someday. Lastly, we have such a yearning for love as social creatures, that we will convince ourselves of just about anything in order to fill the empty spots in our hearts.

54% Of Teens Involved In Child Porn? Legal Ramifications Of Underage Sexting, A Prosecutable Offense, Jail Time, Sex Offender Registration
A new study from Drexel University found that the majority of young people are not aware of the legal ramifications of underage sexting.
Sexting among youth is more prevalent than previously thought, according to a new study from Drexel University that was based on a survey of undergraduate students at a large northeastern university. More than 50 percent of those surveyed reported that they had exchanged sexually explicit text messages, with or without photographic images, as minors.
The study also found that the majority of young people are not aware of the legal ramifications of underage sexting. In fact, most respondents were unaware that many jurisdictions consider sexting among minors – particularly when it involves harassment or other aggravating factors – to be child pornography, a prosecutable offense. Convictions of these offenses carry steep punishments, including jail time and sex offender registration.

“This is a scary and disturbing combination,” said researcher David DeMatteo, JD, PhD. “Given the harsh legal penalties sometimes associated with youth sexting and the apparent frequency with which youth are engaging in it, the lack of comprehension regarding such penalties poses a significant problem.”
The study, entitled “Youth Sexting: Prevalence Rates, Driving Motivations, and the Deterrent Effect of Legal Consequences,” was published online in June 2014 by the journal entitled Sexuality Research and Social Policy. The full article is available here.
In addition to DeMatteo, an associate professor of psychology and law and director of Drexel’s joint JD/PhD program in psychology and law in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Law, the study was conducted by lead author Heidi Strohmaier, a PhD candidate in psychology, and Megan Murphy, a JD/PhD candidate. The study, in which undergraduate students from a large northeastern university completed an anonymous online survey concerning their engagement in sexting as minors, revealed a significant relationship between awareness of legal consequences and sexting behavior as minors.
Those who were aware of the potential legal consequences reported sexting as a minor significantly less than those who were not aware of the legal consequences. Additionally, most respondents who reported being unaware of the potential legal consequences of sexting expressed the belief that they may have been deterred from sexting as a minor if they had known.
The finding that legal consequences may deter youth from sexting has important policy implications, according to the researchers.
In many jurisdictions, the law has yet to catch up with youth sexting behavior and technological advances. Until recently, most states did not have a legal mechanism in place to handle cases of teenage sexting. Instead, they were required to fit this new teenage subculture into the existing legal framework. As a result, youth sexting was often subsumed under laws governing serious child pornography and child exploitation offenses. Convictions of these offenses carry steep punishments, including jail time and sex offender registration—punishments that many lawyers and legislatures have deemed too harsh for adolescent sexting.
Notable Figures:
More than half of respondents (54 percent) reported sexting as minors. However, only 28 percent sent photographic sexts.
The majority of respondents (61 percent) were not aware that sending texts could be considered child pornography.
In the study, 59 percent of respondents reported that knowledge of legal consequences “would have” or “probably would have” deterred them from sexting.
Although participants generally reported experiencing few negative social or legal consequences as a result of sexting, 71 percent reported knowing other teens who experienced negative consequences.
Only 2 percent of respondents reported that they notified a parent or teacher about a sext that they received.
While many states have joined the movement toward creating youth sexting legislation, there is currently no federal sexting-specific legislation in the United States.
“It's a major concern that many states do not have laws that specifically address sexting,” said DeMatteo. “Sexting specific laws would be beneficial because they – ideally – would clearly define what constitutes sexting and outline potential penalties. To the latter point, these laws would make it possible for judges to avoid imposing overly harsh sentences on those who are prosecuted under sexting laws.”
The rapidly changing legal landscape further underscores the need to educate youth about current sexting laws. According to the researchers, an important step in addressing this issue would be to develop educational initiatives aimed at providing basic information to youth about legal consequences of sexting and other negative consequences such as humiliation, a tarnished reputation and bullying/taunting.
“Young people need to be educated about the potential consequences of sexting—legal, social and psychological,” DeMatteo said. “The education should come from many sources – the more young people hear the message, the more likely it will be to sink in – so they should be educated by their parents, schools and perhaps even law enforcement.”
The study also examined motivations for sexting, the frequency respondents engaged in this behavior, the number of partners with whom they exchanged sexts, gender differences with regard to sexting and opinions about what appropriate consequences should be for engaging in illegal forms of this behavior.

Massive solar storm to hit Earth in 2012 – could devestate our Digital Society
Astronomers are predicting that a massive solar storm, much bigger in potential than the one that caused spectacular light shows on Earth earlier this month, is to strike our planet in 2012 with a force of 100 million hydrogen bombs.
Several US media outlets have reported that NASA was warning the massive flare this month was just a precursor to a massive solar storm building that had the potential to wipe out the entire planet’s power grid.
Despite its rebuttal, NASA‘s been watching out for this storm since 2006 and reports from the US this week claim the storms could hit on that most Hollywood of disaster dates – 2012.
Similar storms back in 1859 and 1921 caused worldwide chaos, wiping out telegraph wires on a massive scale. The 2012 storm has the potential to be even more disruptive.
“The general consensus among general astronomers (and certainly solar astronomers) is that this coming Solar maximum (2012 but possibly later into 2013) will be the most violent in 100 years,” News.com.au quoted astronomy lecturer and columnist Dave Reneke as saying.
“A bold statement and one taken seriously by those it will affect most, namely airline companies, communications companies and anyone working with modern GPS systems.
“They can even trip circuit breakers and knock out orbiting satellites, as has already been done this year,” added Reneke.
No one really knows what effect the 2012-2013 Solar Max will have on today’s digital-reliant society.
Dr Richard Fisher, director of NASA‘s Heliophysics division, told Reneke the super storm would hit like “a bolt of lightning”, causing catastrophic consequences for the world’s health, emergency services and national security unless precautions are taken.
NASA said that a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences found that if a similar storm occurred today, it could cause “1 to 2 trillion dollars in damages to society’s high-tech infrastructure and require four to 10 years for complete recovery”.
The reason for the concern comes as the sun enters a phase known as Solar Cycle 24.
Most experts agree, although those who put the date of Solar Max in 2012 are getting the most press.
They claim satellites will be aged by 50 years, rendering GPS even more useless than ever, and the blast will have the equivalent energy of 100 million hydrogen bombs.
“We know it is coming but we don’t know how bad it is going to be,” Fisher told Reneke.
“Systems will just not work. The flares change the magnetic field on the Earth and it’s rapid, just like a lightning bolt. That’s the solar effect,” he added.

(Plaintiff funded her 2011 retirement before becoming a Visiting Judge!)
Plaintiff, Bank of New York Mellon held this Judge’s retirement monies and the judge she replaced as well, who also had her own husband “Substantially Employed” by this same Plainitff without disclosure to the Defendant until he investigated after two years of her “Judicial Bias”. Following the first Judge’s recusal, the same extreme bias has continued and actually gotten a lot worse:
Cosgrove did not even offer a status hearing or read a single filing before illegally cancelling Defendant’s scheduled Jury Trial & immediately setting up Summary Judgment in favor of Plaintiff.
AND SHE SURE AS HELL DID NOT DISMISS IN THE INTEREST OF JUSTICE
