VA Booms Rattle Homes, Heard 100 Miles Away!! (Video News Report)

Virginia news stations are being bombarded with reports of loud overhead explosions, mysterious booms that are reportedly rattling homes, and in the video news clip below, some reports are coming in from over 100 miles away from what is believed to be the originating area.
The military is denying any involvement.
In the video below, reporters talk to witnesses that describe the mysterious booms and say they would like to know what is causing it. After their initial story the the CBS 6 report says over 200 people contacted them about this via Facebook and calls.
According to the interview with Chief A.G. Moore, Colonial Heights Fire & EMS, he is surprised at how "widespread" and "far-reaching" this is.

"We're not the source of the booms," said Stephen Baker, Fort Lee Public Affairs Officer. "We do sometimes do training at the range on post which sometimes involves the use of small explosives or simulators but nothing to the magnitude of what's been heard."
Additionally, Baker added that he had heard from members of the community asking whether similar sounds that were heard over the holidays originated on post. "But, our range was closed over the holidays and we only resumed training earlier this week," Baker said.
