here are a lot of mean-spirited fights among pugnacious celebrities, especially on Twitter. Some famous people are so belligerent they could have filled all 10 spots on this list by themselves, but we’ll focus on the ones that are as juicy…but not as popular. Here are the top 10 celebrity Twitter feuds of all time.
Mix Top 10
10. George Lopez vs. Kirstie Alley
The canceled talk-show host George Lopez tweeted jokes, the butt of which was actress Kirstie Alley, after an end-of-March performance by the former Fat Actress on “Dancing with the Stars.” Lopez referred to Alley as a little piggy, tweeting that before the show “she went to the market and then she had roast beef.” Alley wasn’t too thrilled with the comments. After her fans demanded an apology from Lopez, Alley came back gunning for Lopez when she cleverly compared Lopez, a self-professed alcoholic, to a “big bad, drunk woolf” who meets his demise by falling “in a boiling pot of vodka.”
9. American Airlines vs. Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin really loves the iPhone game Words With Friends. He was playing it last year while parked at the gate on an American Airlines flight, and was asked to kindly power down his device by a flight attendant. Nobody’s exactly sure what happened next, but he was asked to leave the flight. (Boxer Oscar De La Hoya, who was on the same plane, said Baldwin was “a little angry.”) Well, that anger erupted into a vengeful Twitter-volcano. (These tweets have since been deleted.) He claims he was “reamed” for playing on his phone at LAX before takeoff — and his publicist tweeted that it’s a #hypocrisy. Baldwin added, “Last flight w American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950′s find jobs as flight attendants.” The airline responded on Facebook, saying, “The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding”. Good Lord, Lemon.
8. Mariah Carey vs. Nicki Minaj
After a night of bickering behind the judges’ table, Nicki Minaj launched an all-out Twitter war against her fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey -in May of 2013 – and the tweets weren’t pretty. Apparently, Mariah Carey thought her fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj wants to kill her. All this stems from a Barbara Walters interview, phone call, or some sort of conversation she had with Carey, where Mariah said she wasn’t “comfortable emotionally” around Minaj, who allegedly declared, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the bitch.” Minaj responded by tweeting “Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it.” This probably was nothing but a publicity stunt to increase American Idol ratings.
7. Adam Levine vs. MTV
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine got his skinny skivvies in a bunch over the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, which aired the last Sunday in August. “The Voice” coach tweeted, “the VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing the line in the sand. fuck you VMA’s.” MTV didn’t let the jab slide. The network shot back, “Soooo you’ll be tuning in at 9/8C tomorrow night? (BTW, bonus points if you TwitPic your 2004 Moonman!)”. Not to be undone, Levine replied, “still waiting to have my ‘jerry macquire mission statement moment of deep regret…’ not happening. phew!” Uh huh, he may have those moves like Jagger, but he’s got the comedic wit of Tom Cruise.
6. Kim Kardashian vs. Jon Ham
Kim Kardashian has had more battles on Twitter than Pikachu has had in the Poké Stadium. She’s had squabbles with Beyoncé, Nicole Richie, and even the Casey Anthony verdict. But did you know Jon Hamm also threw down against her? It’s true. In an Elle UK magazine interview, Hamm voiced his confusion over the public’s fascination with Kim’s “stupidity” and concluded that she’s a “fucking idiot.” Kim responded via Twitter that his comments were “careless.” Hamm said he didn’t regret his comments, but that they were taken out of context, and then concluded there are “better things to celebrate.” Then he glanced at his watch, realized it was time for his Diet Coke break and ripped his shirt off while a bunch of school teachers salivated from across the basketball court.
