Transhuman: Do You Want To Live Forever? (Video)
Philosopher Anders Sandberg does not accept death as a foregone conclusion. According to him it will become possible this century to upload your mind into a computer. He is a member of a small group that calls itself the transhumanists. TRANSHUMAN is a short documentary film by director Titus Nachbauer. It is about radical life extension and future technology that might change the human condition.
Death is for losers mannn. Get with the program, get up to speed. You can live forever now. I know religious people are super up in arms over this and rightfully so. Death is natural. I'm all about that but! The implications of living forever, at least in theory, are awesome and far reaching. If we could figure out a way to maintain life on Earth in such a way, Earth could a base for transhuman colonisation of the solar system. I believe this to be the next stage in evolution. You could argue it is both natural and not natural, transhumanism. many scientists would argue that robotics is the next step in evolution. So its a difficult slippery slope. I could see religious fanaticism and terrorism against a mainstream move towards this. I could see civil unrest over this. I could see alot of things. It is both a good and a bad thing.
