Timothy Alexander, Earl Of Stirling And BIN Contributer Interviewed By Epoch Times (picture)

Thousands crowded into the Center in Evansville, Indiana to experience the spiritual event that is ShenYun. It isn't Chinese acrobatics, danace, opera, or theater. It is all of them, blended into a seemless work of art that includes dance, movement, phenonmenal costuming, dynamic special effects, opera and theatrics.

More than anything else, it was an exestential experience. Below:   BIN contributor Timothy Alexander,  Earl of Stirling, being interviewed by Epoch Times reporter

You are here, balancing what you think you know about Chinese history with a walk into 5,000 years of emperors and queens, concubines and angry dragons, heroic villagers and magical children, soldiers beating dissidents and a woman giving birth to a child emowered with magical powers..

This was my second Sen Yun event and this one was nothing like last year's performance. All I had to do this time was go to the theater downtown, instead of taking a cross country Greyhound trip--which was fun, but left me exhausted. Both performances were beautiful, but each had its own place in celestial performance.

Which made sense, because Shen Yun has 5000 years of Chinese history to draw from.

I was delighted to be able to take three friends, one who turned down an offer to become one of the members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City, because of family oblligations. His aunt, a retired city dispatcher, loved the event. But historian, author, college instructor and BIN contributor, Timothy Alexander. Alexander was totally delighterd at the performance.

Alexanders blog appears on BIN:
