Fabio Coentrao was close to joining Manchester United in the summer transfer window, but a deal collapsed at the last minute. Now multiple outlets are reporting that an agreement has been reached this time in the January transfer window. Reportedly, the only thing left to be negotiated is the release fee. Of course, it will still take a few days before the official announcement welcoming Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao to Old Trafford and the English Premier League.
The 25-year-old has been told he can leave Madrid according to reports and he hasn’t played a game for in the Spanish capital since November both through injuries and exclusion. Check out these tweets reporting the Fabio Coentrao news

La Sexta believes that Coentrao wants to leave Madrid despite signing a new contract. Reports in Portugal said the bid was around 12 million pounds. For the Red Devils, this signing means that the Left Back position has been settled, and it should rule out any more interest/pursuit of both Leighton Baines and Luke Shaw. United’s bid for Shaw was rejected today anyway.

Maria Sharapova gets all sort of requests from her male fans. I’m sure hundreds of them are wholesome and SFW. Of course, I bet thousands of thousands of the overtures men have made to Maria Sharapova over the years are NSFW, maybe even offensive. This one is above board. Maria Sharapova tweetd an image below of an iPhone she got with the simple request of a selfie; to be taken with the phone. It came with the dinner bill, so this Maria Sharapova is quite dedicated and aggressive.

It also came with an autograph request. Just a hunch, but I’m guessing it wasn’t sent by Serena Williams. Although this move was bizarre, for the sake of fan, Maria Sharapova should sign it.
