A master persuader has the power to communicate with a person’s subconscious using a series of techniques. They use subliminal (or covert) persuasion techniques as they subtly pick at a person’s mind, without said person realizing what is going on.
It’s not about using force to get someone to act a certain way or think certain thoughts. Subliminal persuasion techniques are more like a tap on your back or a nudge on your shoulder. In this article, I will share with you some of these methods so that you, too, can have the power of a master persuader!
Subliminal Persuasion Technique # 1: Rah-rah Rapport
Establishing rapport is one of the most widely used covert persuasion techniques out there. It’s trying to make the other person feel more at ease with your presence and getting them to loosen up.
Once the person lets their guard down, you’ll have an easier time working your way into their subconscious. If you’ve been friends with this person for a long time now, the rapport should already be there. However, it’s a different matter when you’re trying to mesmerize a total stranger.
Most people tend to be suspicious of others in general. The best sales people out there are those who can establish rapport with anybody – even with a person they just met.
As a beginner, use your powers of observation and take in every detail of the person you’re talking to. Match their mood or state. How they walk, talk, dress or even smell will tell you something about their character. From there, you should be able to come up with something appropriate to say to get them to open up to you.
Subliminal Persuasion Technique # 2: A Way With Words
The power of covert persuasion has a lot to do with how skillfully you weave your intentions in conversation.
For example, if you want to convince your partner to visit your parents sometime soon, don’t give them the option of turning you down. Instead of asking, “Do you want to go see my parents,” just ask, “When are we going to visit my parents?”
Asking your question this way makes your partner think that they have already agreed to visit your parents, and that it is only a matter of time before the trip pushes through.
Subliminal Persuasion Technique # 3: The Power Of Suggestion
People are used to routine. They go through each day doing the same things and expecting the same things to happen. However, once something out of the ordinary happens, they become out of balance. They feel out of sorts and desperately cling on to whatever is there.
This is where the power of suggestion comes in. People will be more receptive to new ideas when they feel lost. You have to know when to take advantage of an opportunity when it is presented to you.
These subliminal persuasion techniques can easily be used on a day-to-day basis without the person knowing about them. Having the tools is one thing. Deciding how to use them is another.

Isn’t it strange that we have an actual sensation or feeling equated to being watched? For centuries people have reported an eerie feeling when they feel like someone they can’t see is observing them. And this phenomenon would be added to the laundry list of other strange but ultimately baseless occurrences if it wasn’t for the research of one man when he decided to put the feeling of “being watched” to the next level.
Rupert Sheldrake, a researcher and parapsychologist came across evidence while conducting trial research on the matter that people had a definite impression of when they were and were not being watched. The experiments he conducted gave a whole new level of controversy to the subject and finally gave some level of credibility to the phenomenon of scopaesthesia, or “feeling like you’re being watched.” In the experiment, Sheldrake lurked in the background of a quiz show in the UK while it was being taped by the BBC. At random intervals Sheldrake would designate a time to stare at people in the audience behind their backs. He and his research assistants then videotaped the event and looked back on their results. What they found was astounding.
While the audience members did look back into the shadows where Sheldrake and his group were sitting, after a few moments of being stared at a number of audience members would turn and look back at the “observers” as if to try to find the source of an eerie but not quite entirely explained feeling. Almost as though they were being watched. When the video of the event was looked back at they found astonishing evidence that something was indeed going on when the audience members were under the impression they were being watched. Just how they knew precisely was not well understood, but they did somehow.
The experiment concluded that there was some mechanism, although not one that was entirely understood, that would allow test subjects to determine whether they were being watched or not by someone that didn’t want to themselves be seen. While no one ventured to explain just how this happened or why, believers in the theories behind Sheldrake’s findings soon found themselves embroiled in a battle over evolution with skeptics. The discovery did indeed seem to have some advantageous benefits to the fittest. In the wild if a predator is staring at you, it would be quite beneficial if you could by some unseen mechanism determine if they were somewhere nearby and yet hidden. If there was some mechanism by which this could happen, then it seems to follow that in time it would eventually become more common as the survivors passed the trait on to their offspring.
So is there something to the phenomenon of scopaesthesia? In the recorded history of mankind there have been hundreds of accounts where the phenomenon has either saved a life or somehow influenced the outcome of some sort of conflict. But when we attempt to explain just how it works there’s no real way other than to suggest it is an outright psychic phenomenon. Is this proof of psychic ability? What else may we discover in time?

If you’ve read the blog in the past, you know we’ll take a peek at golf from once in awhile, especially when it’s time for one of the four majors. The Master’s is this week, but one major star will not be playing. Tiger Woods, due to a recent a back surgery, will not be in the field. Woods would have been one of the favorites, though his days of being a prohibitive favorite at any major are long gone.
Let me give you the 10 players who have the best chance to win this week.
1. Matt Kuchar
Despite not quite being able to close the deal at the Houston, Kuchar is still coming off two consecutive top 5 finishes. He’s had 6 top 10′s this year on the PGA Tour. Kuchar has the complete package to win his first major. He has top 10′s in his past 2 Masters. Kuchar has been on the cusp of a major break through that past few seasons. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes this year’s Master’s his first major. He also in the top 20 in putting. Putting is key at Augusta on those lightening quick greens.

2. Rory Mcilory
With Tiger Woods out of the field, only Phil Mickelson is as naturally gifted a player as Rory Mcilory. Mcilory already a 2 time major winner looks ready to contend this week at Augusta. Already this season he has 3 top 10 finishes, and fired a 65 in the final round on the Houston Open. There’s no reason to go into the details of Rory’s game, because we know when he’s on he can play any course in the world.

3. Phil Mickelson
Mickelson’s strong finish at this past weeks Houston’s Open, let everyone know Mickelson’s health is good. Phil Mickelson won the British Open just last year, so he definitely still has the game to win another couple of majors in his career. He’s a 3 time winner of the Masters and a frequent contender. Mickelson has a whopping 14 top 10 finishes at Augusta. I expect him to be in the hunt.

4. Jason Day
Jason Day is only 26 years old, and before he’s done he will be a multiple major winner. You can mark that down. Last year he finished in the top 10 of 3 majors, and already has 6 in his career, including 2 top 3′s in Masters. He won the WGC Accenture World Match play earlier this year.

5. Dustin Johnson
It’s only a matter of time before Dustin Johnson wins a Masters. He is the 2nd longest driver on Tour. Augusta is known for it’s greens, but long hitters have a big advantage on this course where accuracy is not as critical as at other majors. That favors Johnson. Why he hasn’t contended at the Master is a bit of a surprise, but if his putting holds up he’ll be there on the leaderboard on Sunday.

6. Bubba Watson
Speaking of players who can bomb it, Bubba Watson can absolutely destroy a golf ball off the tee. It certainly helps to have short irons into those Augusta greens. Watson is a past Master’s winner, and after struggling some since that win in 2012, his game is rounding into form. He won the Northern Trust Open and has two other second place finishes. With Watson, he just needs to keep his emotions in check, becuase he’s playing well enough to win a 2nd green jacket.

7. Zach Johnson
Zach Johnson is one of the most underrated elite players in the world. He’s already a Masters winner (2207), and he’s 11 time PGA winner. He’s won once this season, and has 4 top 10 finishes. He’s not the longest player on tour, but his short game is so good even on a long ball course like Augusta National, Johnson can get into contention. He’s had top 10′s in his last two majors.

8. Adam Scott
What’s not like about Adam Scott? He’s ranked number 2 in the world, he’s hasn’t a finish outside the top 25 this year, and he knows how to win a Masters. Scott is the defending champion. He has the game and is playing well enough to win this week, but there is just one problem. Repeating at the Masters is pretty rare. Only 3 players have ever done it, Tiger Woods (2001-2002), Nick Faldo (1989-1990), and Jack Nicklaus (1965-1966). Scott would join some elite company if he could pull off the trick.

9. Lee Westwood
Westwood has been a fixture as a major championship contender for years. Since 2009 he’s finished in the top 10 of at least 2 majors every year, including 3 of the last 4 years in the Masters. Westwood has dropped into the high 30s in the world rankings, and he doesn’t have a top 10 result this year on the PGA Tour. He didn’t win on either major tour the PGA or European last year. His window may be closing, but I think he’s got a run in him. I just can’t ignore how often he gets into major contention.

10. Sergio Garcia
The 10th spot on my contender list always goes to a under the radar player. Sergio Garcia just finished 3rd at the Houston Open, and he has 3 other top 10′s this year. He’s contended in the Master’s before, and after a couple lean years Garcia is starting to play well. He’s moved back into the top 10 in the world. If Garcia’s head is right, he certainly has a shot at his first major.
