Kindness and the Jen Ratio of Confucius

My favorite spiritual quality is kindness. Kind has always been my favorite word. It implies not just love, but the choice to be consciously loving given an alternative. It moves mountains, heals hearts and changes lives.

None of us always choose correctly and we’ve all been shamefully selfish and even hurtful in our lives, for which we suffer painful remorse. But we learn from those experiences, and they serve to keep us humble.

Edna (from Earth-Heal) sent this to me today, and if anyone embodies this wonderful aspect it’s her. Just for starters she picks up and cares for a managerie of stray animals, reaches out to people in need, and for a “side project” she’s continually working to heal the entire earth! Her site explains her mission statement: “Vibrational healing at the deepest levels for people, animals, groups, homes, areas of land and water and the collective energy field shared by all.” Not too shabby, eh? ;)

And there are many unsung real heroes like her.

This is for all of you and all the wonderful kind souls who’ve dared to open their hearts and share that same loving kindness despite our completely adverse environment and all the ridicule. Never stop. Remember: when the opportunity arises just do it – for “he who hesitates is lost”…just do it. There’s absolutely nothing to lose except your pride. And your sense of conscientious self worth. Certainly not worth missing the opportunity with so much to gain for so many.

That’s conscious living.  Love, Zen

(P.S. – Yes, I saw the upside down pentagram and the book promo yada yada. Please see the good. While we need to be aware at all times and point out hints of a cloaked message, we also affirm what we fixate on. There’s a time to expose when there’s a clear agenda. This, however, is a gorgeous, empowering and uplifting sentiment in a love starved world. I say bravo. – Tx.)
