Here is what you get when you click GodMode..

-Onward Securing User Access Control (UAC)

Doing these simple steps will add Password Prompting to ANYTHING being Changed or Installed on an alert users Computer System, stopping most any Malware or Virus.

Many Websites love installing crap that steals / Hijacks your address book and then use YOUR Email pop account to Spam their Viagra or whatever crap they are pushing,. Or worse, slow your connection to a crawl. That will get your ISP to shut your Net down if Spamming from your email pop account or, they can even destroy your system.

This Quick (6min) Walk-Thru of HOWTO secure your Windows 'User Access Control' (UAC) from Viruses and Malware installing CRAP without your Knowledge is a big effort in stopping Jerks who get off on doing malicious @#&@*!@!!!

MAKING WINDOWS UAC MORE SECURE

In this 6 minute tutorial, you learn how to beef up the UAC security by making it ask for a password instead of just 'yes/no'. While this is more of a nuisance than UAC already is, this will give you more security in the end. And also, you a little something extra that you might want to know as well. And during the video, you don't see the UAC prompts like you should. For some reason the recorder doesn't capture that.

This tutorial does not show you how to disable UAC, though it is fairly easy to do it. Just reverse it!

This works for:

Windows 7 Professional

Windows 7 Ultimate

Windows 7 Enterprise

Does not work for:

Windows 7 Home

To give you an Idea of How Easy it is for a Malicious Site Owner to grab your REAL IP and Probe it for holes, I'll give you the brief outline.

The most common way is.. They create a “ShortURL” commonly Bitly, TinyURL etc.. That short URL points to THEIR server first which contains a blank screen HTML with a PHP script inside that snags your real IP, email address, browser type and whatever else it can without setting off any alarms. It then logs it to a folder on their server for later. 10's of 1000's can be harvested in a day.

Then the PHP redirects you to the main site they innocently advertised as if nothing happened. The quick STOP OVER was behind the scenes. After a day or so... They grab all those Logged REAL IPs and load them into a Sniffer and it probes through them all for open shares, ports etc. And you'd not believe how many ways there are to get at your Goodies!

Here's some excellent addons I use within Firefox that prevents that.

https://adblockplus.org/en/firefox

http://www.ghostery.com/

http://noscript.net/

Those AddOns Not ONLY alerting to harmful Scripts but..

NO MORE Youtube Commercials or Banners Anywhere EVER!

Unless you WhiteList that Domain within the AddOn
VPN

Another great tip!

Virtual Private Network (VPN). Just Google "Free VPN service" for answers to that.

I use https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ $6.95/mo There are MANY Others.

The Free ones ar rather slow and sometimes hard to find a good one.

A VPN will Mask your Real IP and you can appear from most anywhere. Remember all those warnings about using Torrents and ISPs potentially cancelling you? Well, this will stop that from Happening, You can Torrent 24/7 as long as you're on the VPN.

(Right Click View Image Right to Enlarge)

Another great tip for those with Dynamic (changing) IPs is www.no-ip.com. You can create a C-Name and that will never change no matter what your IP changes to. It will always come to your C-Name, FTP, or Webserver.. Via the No-IP Tiny Applet you have installed updating your location and connecting it to your chosen C-Name. A C-Name is like http://Spoof.Website.org - "Spoof." prior to the domain of 'Website.org" is the "C" of the C-Name.

NEXT MUST TIP!

[GRC]

The FBI has Strongly Recommended that

All Users Immediately Download and Disable Windows'

Universal Plug n' Play Support Here

Also, Disabling Administrative Shares is ALWAYS a Good Idea!

For (Vista/Windows7)

Click Start—>Run type regedit click ok (Or, Hold Windows Start Key and "R" Key to Open)

For vista users Enter your UAC credentials to continue.

Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch.

Open the SYSTEM branch.

Open the CurrentControlSet branch.

Open the Services branch.

Open the LanmanServer branch.

Select the Parameters branch.

Select Edit, New, DWORD (32-bit) Value. Vista & Windows 7 adds a new value to the Parameters key (If you have the key just check for correct value).

Type AutoShareWks and press Enter. (You can leave this setting with its default value of 0.)

Restart Windows  to put the new setting into effect.

That about covers it! I would also recommend making sure your WIreless Router Admin page usually http://192.168.0.1 has the default password changed. I can gain access to at least 20 computers in 10minutes using AngryIP harvesting IPs and then looking up the Router's default login pass that they never changed. BE SURE and add security on your wireless as well!

If you are Seriously PARANOID.. Use TrueCrypt! It is UnCrackable! Read more [Here FBI Fails] .

They can hammer away for Years and never have access to your Physical Hard Drives. That is not saying they've hacked it already online but, they'll never get the physical Hard Drive decrypted if they ever confiscate it! That pass is not available as long as you never share or type it ANYWHERE EVER after initial boot up.  [TrueCrypt Home]

FYI: I offer remote setup and repair as well.

You watch while I work and explain it to you on the phone.

Bonus Tips:

BSD, etc. w/Apache users - Stopping a Synflood.. Add this line in the rc.local:

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_syncookies

Minimizing DDOS / Denial of Service Attacks. This helps if not an EXTREME Attack:

set Max req perchild and max clients at 500. Then it will kill the connections before the denial attack does anything.

This only works with ISP level script Kiddies and up to maybe a 100 or so of their buddies attacking.

As long as your server is Co-located somewhere Kick-Ass on Many Multiple Backbone.. It would take major Power to choke up your Box!

ROB in Australia Writes: Published on Mar 10, 2013 She fixed both of my computers. It is amazing. I am totally stoked. You rock. I completely trust her too. And I learned a lot in the process. Thank you very much. I am forever grateful. I hope you receive the gift I sent you soon. Even my windows 8 machine is running better. She deserves a break. I thought I knew about computers. But compared to her I realize I know very little. Else I wouldn't have had all the problems I'd been having. I am in awe of her skill. Marcia is spot on in this vid and I couldn't have said it better. She is an inspiration. Everyone should help each other. If you have computer problems. Just ask her. And if possible give back a little something for her kindness and great skill. Love your work!

I want to help you. You helped me. Just knowing you was enough. You helped me before You even fixed my computer.

I even commented on the youtube vid. I fully endorse you. Just shared the link to my wall.

I hope everything works out for you and life gets better. I know what it is like to have tough times

Media Shield Law Heralds the Death of the 1st Amendment

Onan Coca * Eagle Rising

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Senate Judiciary Committee just passed a new “media shield” bill, and will now ask the Senate to take the bill up for a vote. In the wake of the Justice Department’s recent attacks on the freedom of the press, many members of Congress seem ready to take up the cause and support the media shield law. At first glance a new media shield law would be a positive development, because it would imply that our Congress took our press freedom seriously. However, that is just not the case. This media shield law is not just a bad idea, but a dangerous one.

GrahamLet’s begin with the most basic argument against the media shield law. It is unnecessary because the Bill of Rights offers us complete coverage on freedom of the press. “Congress shall make no law…abridging freedom of speech, or of the press.” It doesn’t get much clearer than that. So the real issue here is not that we need a media shield law (we already have the 1st Amendment), but that someone at the Justice Department needs to go to prison for their roles in the AP scandal and in the Fox News and James Rosen case. The likely jailbird should be Attorney General Eric Holder, because he signed off on both investigations. In addition, the Justice Department should have to pay hefty restitution to both organizations for their heavy handed attack on free speech.

Fantasy Football Start'em, Sit'em for Week 3

Follow EatDrinkandSleepFootball.com: On Twitter | On Facebook

Every week, I put together a list of players that may worthy of starting in your fantasy league(s) and those that deserve to be on your fantasy bench.

Of course, a huge factor in determining which players to start (or sit) is the rest of your roster and depth of your league.

That said, here are some players to consider starting in Week 3:

QB - Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (at WAS)

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or fantasy expert to tell you to start Stafford, but I have yet to rank Stafford as high as I have him this week in my rankings (QB4). No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season than the Redskins.

Although he is tied with Aaron Rodgers and Carson Palmer for 12th in the league in pass attempts (79) through two games, no quarterback threw it more than Stafford did last season (727) in NFL history. I expect Stafford and the Lions to fully exploit their fantasy-friendly matchup this week.

QB - Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. KC)

Along with Rodgers, Vick was the other quarterback to put up a big game against the Redskins. This week, Vick and the Eagles face their former coach on a short week. Although that may give Andy Reid a leg up in preparation against Vick, he's become a solid QB1 for as long as he's healthy due to his dual-threat abilities.

Through two games, Vick has thrown for 631 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions, which gives him a passer rating of 119.0. In addition, he has 15 carries for 77 yards and two scores.

RB - Joique Bell, Detroit Lions (at WAS)

Eight running backs (and quarterback Terrelle Pryor) have rushed for 100-plus yards in a game this season. The Redskins have allowed two of those 100-yard gainers including two of the three highest totals this season.

It's unclear whether Reggie Bush (knee) will be ready to go this week, but Bell should have an opportunity to be an RB2 even with Bush in the lineup. If Bush is out, Bell could be a low-end RB1.

RB - Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins (vs. ATL)

After a dismal Week 1 performance of three rushing yards on 10 carries, Miller was more like the back we expected he would be in Week 2. He carried the ball 14 times for 69 yards (4.93 yards per carry) and a score. Although the coaching staff seems intent on continuing to give Daniel Thomas plenty of work, Miller will eventually emerge as the team's featured back.

RB - Knowshon Moreno, Denver Broncos (vs. OAK)

More than a two-TD favorite over the Raiders, the Broncos will likely run away with this game early and we could see a lot of the running game. Against the Giants last week, Moreno had 13 carries for 93 yards and two scores plus three receptions for 14 yards. Montee Ball had almost as many touches as Moreno, but he rushed for only 16 yards on 12 carries.

WR - Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants (at CAR)

Through two games, Nicks has nine receptions for 197 yards and at least 83 receiving yards in each game. Although he dislocated his finger in last week's game, he'll be ready to go on Sunday against the Panthers.

Carolina has a talented front-seven, but their secondary is one of the league's worst. Both Victor Cruz and Nicks should be started and Rueben Randle has WR3/Flex upside this week.

WR - Mike Wallace, Miami Dolphins (vs. ATL)

Week 2 for Wallace was much different than Week 1 was for him. After a disappointing one-catch outing in Week 1 and frustrated comments about his role, Wallace was much more involved in Week 2 as he finished with nine receptions for 115 yards and a score. Early in the season, the Falcons have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

WR - Eric Decker, Denver Broncos (vs. OAK)

Like 60 Minutes, Decker was much more productive in Week 2. Against the Giants, he finished with nine receptions for 87 yards. At a minimum, Decker is a WR3 in Week 3 against the Raiders although there is some risk this game gets out of hand early and the Broncos take their foot off the gas.

TE - Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears (at PIT)

Bennett was limited in practice on Wednesday and although he "messed up" his shoulder, he should be active for Week 3's Sunday Night matchup against the Steelers. Through two games, Bennett has 10 receptions for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

* Enter DraftStreet's Week 2 $1,000 Freeroll: FREE entry and $1,000 in prizes.

Here are some players to possibly sit for Week 3:

QB - Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts (at SF)

Through two games, Luck has thrown for only 499 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. While better numbers are in store for Luck, he has a difficult matchup this week against the 49ers, who held Russell Wilson to only 142 passing yards and 10 fantasy points last week.

RB - Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars (at SEA)

Leaving last week's game early due to an ankle injury, Jones-Drew is expected to play this week against the Seahawks. Unfortunately for MJD's owners, this is a 4 p.m. game so options could be limited if he is a scratch. Assuming he plays, however, Pocket Hercules should be kept on your bench.

In the Jags' low-powered offense (scoring a league-low 5.5 points per game), Jones-Drew is averaging only 2.88 yards per carry (25 carries for 72 yards) with one reception for one yard. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are allowing a league-low 5.0 points per game and held the 49ers to just a field goal last week.

RB - David Wilson, New York Giants (at CAR)

Wilson is clearly the most talented running back on the roster, but it's unclear how much work he'll get in Week 3. Last week, Wilson (seven), Brandon Jacobs (seven) and Da'Rel Scott (five) split carries fairly evenly.

With a pair of lost fumbles in the opener, Wilson has two fewer fantasy points than I do through two games. Plus he has a tough matchup against the Panthers solid front-seven.

Until we see Tom Coughlin trust Wilson more, he's better off on your bench.

RB - Ahmad Bradshaw, Indianapolis Colts (at SF)

With Vick Ballard out for the season, Bradshaw stepped up last week with a larger role and rushed for 65 yards and a score on 15 carries against the Dolphins. He added three receptions for 19 yards.

Not only does he have an extremely tough matchup this week against the Niners, but the team traded for stud running back Trent Richardson on Wednesday afternoon. While Bradshaw may get a larger share of the workload this week, the addition of a more talented back and a tough matchup does not bode well for Bradshaw's outlook.

WR - Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons (at MIA)

The concern continues to be White's high-ankle sprain even though we know he will tough it out. In the past two weeks, however, White has only five receptions for 40 yards as plays through his ankle injury.

I'd prefer to take a wait-and-see approach with White and even miss out on a typical Roddy week than to continue to start him and get two or three points. Once he has one of his typical performances, then I'll comfortably move him back into my starting lineup for good.

WR - Eddie Royal, San Diego Chargers (at TEN)

It's hard to bench a guy that leads the league in receiving touchdowns with five of them through two weeks, but it's unrealistic to expect multiple touchdowns from the 5-10 receiver on a weekly basis. Royal will continue to be involved plenty in their passing attack, but he has just 10 receptions for 114 yards as well. In other words, if he doesn't score this week, he will probably be little more than a WR4.

WR - Cecil Shorts, Jacksonville Jaguars (at SEA)

The Jaguars are 20-point underdogs and, as noted earlier, they have the league's 32nd-ranked offense. Not only do the Seahawks have the league's best scoring defense, the team's strength is its secondary.

Although Shorts had eight receptions for 93 yards last week, it's unrealistic to expect close to those numbers this week against Richard Sherman, one of the league's best shutdown corners.

TE - Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings (vs. CLE)

Rudolph's fantasy production is TD-dependent. Although he scored his first touchdown of the season last week, he has only five catches for 69 yards this year.
